Revive Painting is based in Raleigh and works across the Triangle. We take interior, exterior and cabinet work in Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, Wake Forest and Durham. If you are near one of those and not sure whether we reach you, send your address rather than guessing — the answer is usually yes, and it takes a minute to confirm.
Why we list towns instead of quoting a radius
Plenty of painting companies advertise a mileage radius. It reads as precise and it tells you almost nothing, because a radius does not know about I-40 at half past four. What actually determines whether we can serve you well is whether a crew can get to your house, work a full productive day, and get back — with a foreman able to reach the site again the same week if something needs attention.
So we name the towns we can genuinely do that in, and we keep the list shorter than we could. A company that claims the whole Triangle is a company that will eventually schedule someone badly, and the person who pays for that is whichever customer is furthest from the yard that week.
The list is not fixed forever — Fuquay-Varina was added in September 2026. If you are just outside it, ask. We would rather tell you no clearly than take the job and be late to it.
One climate, seven different housing problems
Everything we paint sits in the same Piedmont climate: humid subtropical, hot summers with punishing UV on south and west elevations, a pine pollen wave from late March into April that settles into anything wet, and long damp shoulder seasons that grow mildew on shaded walls. Those conditions set the rules for the whole territory.
What changes town by town is what they act on. Durham's inner ring and the older cores of Apex, Wake Forest and Fuquay-Varina are largely pre-1978 wood — which means hand preparation, rot repair and EPA lead-safe practice. Cary, Holly Springs and the newer parts of everywhere else are fibre cement and vinyl over brick veneer, where the work is sealing joints and cut ends and the enemy is failed caulk rather than failed wood. Raleigh has both, sometimes on the same street.
The approval regimes differ too, and they are the most common reason a start date moves. Cary and the larger master-planned communities run architectural review on exterior colour. Wake Forest and parts of Raleigh have designated historic districts where exterior work visible from the street can need a Certificate of Appropriateness. None of it affects interior work, which is why interiors book far more freely than exteriors everywhere we go.
What is the same wherever you are
Carter owns the business and runs the estimate himself. You are not handed to a salesperson working from a price book, and the person who quotes the job is the person who walks it with you at the end.
Every estimate is written down and separates preparation from paint. That distinction is the whole ball game in this trade: washing, scraping, repairing, caulking and priming are what decide whether a finish lasts, and they are exactly what disappears from a quote that comes in suspiciously low. If ours is higher than another, ask both of us what is in the preparation line.
We tell you when something is a bad idea. Painting historic brick that has never been painted. A dark colour over light vinyl siding. Refinishing cabinet boxes that are already failing. Each of those is a job we could take and would rather talk you out of, and each of them comes up often enough across the Triangle to be worth saying out loud.

If your town is not listed, send your address through the estimate form or call — we cover more of the wider Triangle than we name here, and we would rather answer than have you assume.

No. Estimates are free anywhere in the towns listed here, and Carter does them himself rather than sending a salesperson.
My town is not on your list. Can you still come?
Often yes. The list is the set of towns we are confident we can serve well week in and week out, not the outer edge of where we will travel. Send your address and we will give you a straight answer rather than a maybe.
Do you work outside North Carolina?
The Triangle is our territory. The business operated in the Kansas City metro before relocating to North Carolina, which is why some of our older Google reviews name Kansas towns — those are genuine, they are just from a previous chapter.
